Safoora Zargar

Safoora Zargar is an Indian student activist from Jammu and Kashmir. She is best known for her role in the CAA protests at Jamia Millia Islamia where she was pursuing an MPhil at the time. She was booked under the UAPA and sedition, and spent 75 days in Delhi’s Tihar jail before being granted bail on humanitarian grounds. Along with 18 others, she was accused of being part of a conspiracy to cause riots in Northeast Delhi during the anti-CAA protests.
