Pranshu Verma is the India bureau chief for The Washington Post. He is responsible for covering news out of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. Verma joined The Post in 2022 and covered artificial intelligence and Elon Musk. He previously wrote about technology at the Boston Globe and reported on diplomacy and transportation at the New York Times. He started his career in journalism at the Philadelphia Inquirer covering prisons and New Jersey politics. Verma is a graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and the University of Delaware.
