Lauren Frayer

Lauren Frayer is an international correspondent for National Public Radio (USA). She was awarded the Overseas Press Club of America's Lowell Thomas Award for her coverage of India's COVID-19 outbreak, and a Gracie Award for coverage of India's farmer protests. Her new NPR podcast Love Commandos, investigates the rise and fall of a Delhi-based vigilante group that helps lovers elope across boundaries of caste and religion. Frayer began her career at the Associated Press, and has also reported from Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, South Korea, Indonesia, Morocco and across Europe.
