Keya Acharya

Keya Acharya is a Bengaluru-based journalist, writing for over 30 years on environment and development issues. She is the recipient of the Prem Bhatia Award for Environmental Reporting and the TERI/Green Globe Foundation Award for outstanding media contribution by a media individual.  

Keya is president of the Forum of Environmental Journalists in India (FEJI) and has organised and conducted several media orientation workshops and study tours on various environmental issues. She has edited, with Frederick Noronha as co-editor, India’s first book on environmental journalism, The Green Pen, published by Sage, New Delhi.
